Bacteriostatic Water
Sterile Syringes
Alcohol Swabs
To sanitize the vial tops to prevent contamination.
The primary sterile solvent used to reconstitute lyophilized peptides.
3-5 mL (cc) syringes designed for precise dosing.
Step-by-Step Reconstitution Guide
01
Calculate Your Volume
Before reconstituting, decide how much bacteriostatic water to add. This determines your concentration.Â
02
Sanitize Your Workspace
Thoroughly clean your station and hands. Wipe the tops of the peptide vial and bacteriostatic water vial with a fresh alcohol swab.
03
Draw the Diluent
Using a sterile syringe, draw the required volume of bacteriostatic water. Ensure no large air bubbles remain in the syringe barrel.
04
Injecting the Water
Slowly inject the water into the peptide vial by aiming the needle at the glass side. Avoid spraying the water directly onto the lyophilized powder.
05
Dissolve and Swirl
Gently swirl the vial between your palms until the powder is completely dissolved. Never shake the vial, as this can damage the peptide structure.
Common Mistakes & Safety
Shaking the vial to mix the solution faster.
Gently swirl the vial to avoid damaging the delicate peptide molecules.
Spraying bacteriostatic water directly onto the powder.
Aim the water stream at the inner wall of the vial to let it run down slowly.
Reusing needles or syringes for multiple injections.
Always use a fresh, sterile needle for every step to prevent contamination.
Storing reconstituted peptides at room temperature.
Store reconstituted peptides in the refrigerator at 36-46°F to maintain stability.
